The only thing I want to know is this: What are Susan and Peter doing in the preview? They weren't anywhere in the book, were they? I don't remember them being there.
Apparently it has been confirmed by Walden Media that The Witch, Peter, and Susan only show up as cameos via flashbacks. Supposedly even Tilda Swinton (The Witch) was surprised to see herself in the trailers and when she contacted the Production company they told her that it was about a total of 15 odd seconds of previously shot footage.

So, don't read too much into the trailers.
